Use Your Treadmill in the Morning for Maximum Weight Loss

Treadmills are an excellent way of losing weight and staying fit, however many people put off doing their exercise routines until the end of the day. This can be really costly and could mean that you never actually get round to doing your workout.

The key to losing weight is to burn off fat and calories, and thankfully there is a science behind this to make it easier. During the night, your body almost shuts down and you only use up a small amount of energy. By exercising first thing in the morning, you are essentially waking up your energy levels and preparing your body for the day ahead.

Starting your day with a well planned cardio workout on your treadmill will help to wake your body up and to boost your energy levels. It’s true that just after you wake up your glycogen and blood glucose levels are at the lowest and therefore your body is forced to burn up fat in order to release the energy you require.

Most people start their day with a good breakfast. Every time you eat a meal, especially one with carbohydrates, your body releases insulin — this impedes the burning of body fat.

By adding a good workout on your treadmill to your morning routine you will be able to use up your body fat, which is a much more effective method of weight loss compared with eating a meal which will only add to your fat reserves and do nothing to reduce them.

The important thing to remember is that you want to get on your treadmill before you eat your breakfast because you will lose more weight this way! If you eat a breakfast and then get on your treadmill to do your exercise routine, you will only burn off the calories you have just eaten, without burning off any of the calories that were already stored in your body.

Another great advantage to working out in the morning is that the treadmill exercise will help to speed up your metabolism, which means that you will be able to burn calories quicker throughout the day. The sooner you can get your metabolism into top gear, the longer you will be able to burn calories most efficiently, which all helps you to lose weight.

If you do not get on your treadmill until the end of the day you are limiting the amount of good you will get from your workout, even though you still have to put in the same amount of effort. By getting on your treadmill first thing in the morning you will be able to enjoy the benefits of effective weight loss throughout the day, many people also experience a fantastic boost in energy that lasts all day too!

Many of us tend to make excuses as to why we haven’t done our exercises today – maybe we were running late, or we had to take care of a family matter, the list goes on. However, if you get on your treadmill first thing in a morning, then you won’t have to keep making these excuses to yourself. Also, a morning workout is a really good way of controlling your binge eating. As you settle into your new routine you will find that your cravings weaken, giving you total control over your eating habits.
