I have been covering bits and pieces of Fatloss4idiots. Remember that you can lose up to 9 pounds in 11 days if you follow the diet correctly. This is the basic goal of this weight loss plan; however, there are some principles that you should remember before you buy this weight loss program.
Any diet should recommend that you do not consume products merely because the label boasts low fat or fat free. There are some very minor calorie differences between many low fat products and their full fat counterparts.
The whole low-fat craze is not entirely bad. Yes, the manufacturers take advantage of our obsession with weight loss, but there are good reasons NOT to eat too much fat. A diet high in saturated and trans fat can lead to cardiovascular disease, obesity, diabetes and even some types of cancer such as breast or prostate cancer. HOWEVER, you can become overweight or obese by eating too much of anything whether it has a lot of fat or not.
What you really want to avoid is making a purchase at the store just because the product says low-fat. If you are buying milk, then buy the low fat or fat free milk. However, do not buy a box of cookies just because they are advertised as being lower in fat than the leading brand. Guess what? They still have fat AND they still have plenty of sugar and calories.
Remember that you want to avoid very low calorie diets. Fat Loss 4 Idiots allows four meals per day and though it is lower in calories than you would normally eat, it is not too low in calories. The diet works through combining different food groups at different meals using their shifting calorie theory.
Also, regarding the low-carb craze, it is not about carbohydrates. It is about which carbohydrates you should be eating and which carbohydrates you should be avoiding. Whole grains, fruits and veggies HAVE to be on the menu if you want to lose weight. Most low carb diets fail to include the good carbohydrates.
Fat Loss 4 Idiots puts an emphasis on making the right choices when choosing carbohydrates and protein. They point out that carbs such as cookies and chips are bad (which we already knew), but that potatoes and whole grain breads are important. Fruit is also a part of their shifting calorie theory. Again, it is okay to eat a cookie now and again, but not every day!
One final note, there are many choices concerning weight loss programs. Many people ask me about Jenny Craig and Weight Watchers. Both programs offer healthy ways to lose weight, but so does Fat Loss 4 Idiots (and many other programs). What you have to decide is whether the program is affordable and whether it will help you become thin?
In looking at any diet, you have to remember the basic rules of weight loss and decide whether the plan is doable. Can you visualize the diet working for you? Is it simple enough? Will I like or learn to like the food? Remember this and all of the above and you will make wise choices.
