Today’s media portrays celebrities as slender and cellulite free. Being constantly bombarded with these idealized images can make women feel inferior. But the fact is that many of these female celebrities have their own weight issues and almost all of them suffer from cellulite. This is because 90 per cent of women will have cellulite at some stage with the risk of the condition increasing as they age. It occurs most often on the thighs, bum and stomach because this is where the body naturally stores more fat.
With that said, cellulite can be reduced with the correct treatment. But choosing a good treatment is important. There are many products out there that are advertised with misleading statements. The fact is that any treatment can take awhile to see any results and it is impossible lose cellulite in a matter of days or overnight.
As with anything that takes awhile to work, procrastination is the biggest killer. Most women are unhappy with their bodies but hardly any of them take action to change their circumstances. Efforts is required with these things but once you have achieved your goal you will look back knowing that you have worked hard to get there.
Probably the most important thing you can do to reduce cellulite is change your diet. There is nothing new or exciting about these changes. Avoid those foods which have lots of fat or sugar, and no more junk food, sweets or chocolate. Increase your consumption of the good foods like lean meat, fruits and vegetables.
Exercise is also very important. In order to keep motivated you will need to set up a program that you enjoy and that you stay with over the longer term. Choose exercises that you like or you can do with friends and family.
Another risk factor for cellulite is poor circulation. When your circulation is bad toxins become trapped inside the fat causing the cell to become hard and lumpy. Using a cellulite cream and massaging it in your problem areas will help soften up the skin and fat, and improve the circulation so that the toxins can be removed from the body.
